Job description

Trainee / Assistant Engineering Surveyor

This role offers an excellent opportunity for someone looking for a challenging and interesting entry-level role in construction, with on-the-job training and development on which to build a well-paid and sustainable career.

The job will involve working on construction sites in and around SDC's operating area (Bedford, Cambridge, Oxford, and surrounding areas) to assist our Engineering Surveyors in carrying out their duties, which include:

1. Placement of gridlines and datums
2. Producing as-built surveys
3. Setting-out using TS16, and establishing survey control
4. Assisting with topographic surveys, measured building surveys, and laser scanning surveys

A bespoke Training and Development plan will be put in place with reviews taking place every 3 months. SDC is also able to arrange day-release to obtain a formal and recognised construction qualification.

Requirements:

Minimum qualification: GCSE Maths Grade 4 or above.

As this role involves multiple locations, a full UK driving license is essential.
