Job summary

Avant Homes is seeking a Trainee Architectural Technician to join our West Midlands team at Coleshill. Earn while you learn through a day-release apprenticeship, gaining hands-on industry experience within our established housebuilding process.

You will be mentored by the regional Technical team, developing skills in design and engineering of new homes from construction through handover, with on-the-job support and pathway to a qualification.

Qualifications

• GCSEs including Maths and English (grade 4/C) or equivalent.
• Willingness to learn and undertake a qualification alongside responsibilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient IT skills with Microsoft Office.
• Strong numerical and analytical abilities.
• Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work in a team as well as independently with initiative.

Responsibilities

• Support preparation of key technical information to assist the Regional land team with land bids.
• Provide general support to regional teams including Commercial, Sales and Construction on Technical matters.
• Assist in producing key status reports and KPI updates for Engineering/Design functions.
• Assist in gathering information from external suppliers and agencies.
• Support in preparing relevant legal documentation for developments or phases.
• Assist with section agreements and ensure timely submission.
• Document management and file control.
• Participate in team meetings related to site development.
• Support Planning applications with the Planning team.
• Ensure information quality to minimise risk and facilitate site starts.
