Job summary

Avant Homes is seeking a Trainee Architect for its West Midlands head office in Coleshill, Birmingham. The role focuses on design and engineering of new homes, with hands-on experience and day-release apprenticeship support to qualify in a relevant field.

You will be mentored by the regional Technical team and gain experience from initial construction through to handover, while supporting the land team and other regional departments on technical matters.

Qualifications

• 5 GCSE's including Maths and English grade 4 or above (Grade C) or an equivalent.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to build relationships.
• Competent IT skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
• Ability to prioritise workload and work to tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the preparation of key technical information to support the Regional land team with land bids.
• Providing general support to wider regional teams including Commercial, Sales and Construction on Technical matters.
• Assisting in production of key status reports and updates to the Technical Director on KPIs.
• Assisting in gathering information related to external suppliers and agencies.
• Supporting the team with section agreements and ensuring timely submission.
• Document management and input to site development meetings.
