Job summary

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) invites applications for a Trainee Advanced Nurse Practitioner (tANP) within Inverclyde HSCP Primary Care ANP Service. The post is aligned to Annex 21 arrangements for a registered nurse developing advanced clinical practice while pursuing a Master’s degree.

Based in Port Glasgow, the role works across a Single Point of Access with GPs and NHS 24, delivering high-quality, person-centred care and developing leadership within a supportive multidisciplinary

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with current NMC registration.
• Committed to working towards, or already undertaking, a Master’s level qualification in Advanced Practice.
• Willingness to complete and demonstrate competency in: Advanced clinical assessment, clinical reasoning and diagnostic decision-making, anatomy and pathophysiology, Non‑Medical Prescribing (V300), leading and evaluating care.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose and manage clinical needs within a multidisciplinary team.
• Provide clinical leadership and professional advice to nursing and multidisciplinary teams.
• Support health promotion, safeguarding independence and service improvement across Inverclyde communities.
