Job summary

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) is recruiting an experienced Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join our ANP team in West Dunbartonshire. The role supports clinical leadership and contributes to education and research across the four pillars of advanced practice.

You will assess, diagnose, treat and prescribe for patients with complex needs, operating under a fixed-term contract with a 36-hour week. A master’s level qualification is preferred and visa sponsorship may be possible in some cases.

Qualifications

• Live NMC UK pin required.
• Qualified Advanced Nurse Practitioner with master’s level qualification preferred.
• Experience in primary or secondary care ANP practice is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Take and record patients' histories including medical, family and social history.
• Conduct comprehensive clinical examinations and mental health assessments as appropriate.
• Screen patients for disease using clinical findings and investigations.
• Make diagnostic decisions based on clinical data and tests.
• Request and interpret diagnostic tests when indicated.
• Prescribe treatment including non-medical prescribing (V300).
• Lead within the multidisciplinary team and contribute to service development.
