Job summary

Lancer Scott Holdings Ltd is seeking an enthusiastic trainee in Bristol to begin a career in accountancy. The role includes on-the-job training and funding for AAT/ACCA/CIMA studies, with exposure to core financial activities and reporting.

You will work closely with the finance team to develop skills in invoice processing, month-end tasks, and supplier management, while gaining valuable experience in a growing SME environment.

Qualifications

• Willing to pursue funded accounting studies (AAT/ACCA/CIMA).
• Interest in building an accountancy career within a growing SME.
• Strong numerical and analytical abilities.
• Excellent time management and organisation, with attention to detail.
• Good written and verbal communication; collaborative team player.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day financial transactions and record-keeping.
• Process invoices and expense claims with accuracy and compliance.
• Support month-end processes, reconciliations and reporting.
• Contribute to process improvement and automation testing.
• Attend monthly finance team meetings to share best practices.
• Communicate with Account Managers to resolve queries and approve invoices.
• Liaise with suppliers, request statements and onboard new vendors with FD approval.
