Job summary

Lancer Scott Holdings Ltd in Bristol is seeking a commercially driven trainee accountant who is keen to pursue a career in accountancy. We will fully fund your AAT/ACCA/CIMA studies and provide on-the-job training to build the experience and skills required for the qualification.

You will support day-to-day financial transactions, process invoices, assist with month-end, and help develop efficient financial processes with the finance team.

Qualifications

• Interest in pursuing a career in accounting and willing to study AAT/ACCA/CIMA.
• Ability to manage time and priorities effectively.
• Numerical and analytical with attention to detail.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day financial transactions and record-keeping.
• Process invoices and expense claims, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Assist with the month end process, reconciling accounts, producing financial reports and analysis.
• Translate data into valuable information for managers.
• Contribute to financial process improvement initiatives, testing new automation workflows and providing feedback.
• Attend monthly meetings with the finance team.
• Communicate with Account Managers to resolve queries and approve invoices.
• Liaise with suppliers, requesting copy statements and analyse data for discrepancies.
• Set up and onboard new suppliers with FD approval.
