TPF Recruitment Ltd, partnering with a growing independent accountancy practice in Epsom, is seeking an Accounts Assistant to join their friendly team. You will support the finance team with day-to-day bookkeeping, VAT returns, year-end accounts for varied clients, and Self Assessment tax work, using cloud accounting software.

This role offers structured training and clear career progression within the firm.

Qualifications

• AAT Level 4 or ACCA apprenticeship pursued.
• UK accountancy practice experience preferred.
• Strong IT skills, especially in Excel and accounting software.
• Proactive, organised and detail-oriented approach to work.
• Ability to meet deadlines and work accurately.

Responsibilities

• Prepare bookkeeping records and VAT returns for diverse clients.
• Assist with year end accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
• Prepare Self Assessment tax returns and support with other personal tax work.
• Liaise with clients to gather information and answer queries.
• Maintain accurate financial records using cloud accounting software.
• Support senior staff with ad hoc accounting tasks and deadlines.
