TPF Recruitment Ltd, a leading accountancy practice recruiter in the South, is seeking an Accounts & Tax Trainee. The role offers hands-on exposure to both accounts and tax for a varied client base, with initial office-based work in Liphook and 1–2 days remote per week as you settle in.

Occasional travel to Alton office is possible. You will gain experience across statutory accounts, bookkeeping and business/personal tax, with opportunities to develop toward greater responsibilities and

Competenze

• Some experience within accountancy practice is advantageous.
• Experience of preparing statutory accounts would be preferable.
• Ambitious accounts or finance graduate looking to begin a career in practice.
• Good understanding of basic accounting principles and double-entry.

Mansioni

• Assist with preparation of statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
• Support preparation of accounts working papers and reconciliations.
• Assist with bookkeeping and maintaining accounting records.
• Support preparation of corporation tax returns.
• Assist with personal tax returns.
• Prepare and review basic VAT returns.
• Assist with year end accounts and tax compliance work.
• Liaise with clients and the wider team as experience grows.
• Gain exposure to a varied portfolio of clients.
