Job summary

Hollybank Trustees Ltd in Cobham is seeking a Trainee Accountant to join our Cobham Team. You will prepare financial accounts for sole traders, partnerships, limited companies and small groups, and assist with audits under supervision.

We offer full ICAEW training, exposure to a varied client base across accounts, audit and advisory work, and hands-on experience with owner-managed businesses and larger audit clients. Great development opportunities within the firm.

Qualifications

• Solid IT skills with advanced Excel ability.

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial accounts for sole traders, partnerships, limited companies and small groups.
• Assist with audits for larger clients, including planning, fieldwork and completion under supervision.
• Prepare monthly or quarterly management accounts and journals.
• Perform control reconciliations and analytical review schedules.
• Support delivery of accounts, audit and advisory assignments with managers and partners.
• Liaise with clients in a professional and timely manner.
• Support projects for clients seeking finance or business advice.
• Maintain accurate records and meet deadlines.
