Job summary

DJH in Huddersfield is recruiting a Trainee Accountant apprentice. After the induction, a personal development plan guides you to become a fully-fledged accountant, with hands-on work on year-end statements, basic tax calculations, and growth through AAT studies.

Your typical day includes collaborating with a supportive team, developing professional competencies, and delivering accurate financial work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• GCSEs including Maths and English at grade 6 or above, with at least five GCSEs overall.
• On track to achieve 3 A Levels (or equivalent) at grade C or above.
• Interest in accounting and willingness to learn through an approved training pathway.

Responsibilities

• Be part of a talented team delivering value through accurate financial work.
• Prepare year-end financial statements for a range of clients.
• Compute corporation and personal tax liabilities, and suggest planning ideas.
• Follow your personal development plan and progress through AAT studies.
• Build relationships with clients and contribute to high-quality service.
