Job summary

Consult2Recruit seeks an experienced Trailer Technician for a role that can be mobile or workshop-based in Stoke/Stafford. The position offers a salary of £40,000–£50,000 per year, depending on experience, with Monday–Friday day shifts and a company van for mobile technicians.

You will service, maintain and repair trailers, prepare for MOT inspections, diagnose faults, and perform safety checks. A professional, detail-oriented approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Trailer Technician/Mechanic or HGV Trailer Technician.
• Strong knowledge of trailer systems, repairs, and maintenance.
• Experience with MOT preparation is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Carry out trailer servicing, maintenance and repairs.
• Prepare trailers for MOT inspections and safety checks.
• Diagnose faults and complete repairs efficiently.

Trailer Technician – Mobile / Workshop Role

Location: Stoke / Stafford

Salary: £40,000 – £50,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Hours: Monday to Friday – Day Shift

The role can be either mobile or workshop-based, depending on your preference and experience.

The Role

• Carrying out trailer servicing, maintenance and repairs
• Preparing trailers for MOT inspections
• Diagnosing faults and completing repairs efficiently
• Carrying out inspections, safety checks and preventative maintenance
• Working on a wide range of trailer types and equipment
• Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and within required timescales

About You

• Previous experience as a Trailer Technician, Trailer Mechanic, or HGV Trailer Technician
• Strong knowledge of trailer systems, repairs, and maintenance
• Experience with MOT preparation
• Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
• A professional approach with good attention to detail
• IRTEC accreditation for trailers is desirable
• Class 1 (HGV) licence is desirable
