Job summary

Consult2Recruit is seeking a Trailer Technician for a workshop-based role in Manchester. The position is full-time, Monday to Friday, starting at 6:00am with finishes at 2:00pm or 4:00pm, depending on rota and requirements. Salary ranges from £18 to £20 per hour, depending on experience.

The successful candidate will service, inspect, maintain, and repair trailers, diagnose faults, and carry out welding and fabrication as needed. A full UK driving licence would be beneficial.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as Trailer Technician/Trailer Mechanic or similar.
• Good knowledge of trailer braking, suspension and running gear.
• Strong mechanical fault-finding skills.
• Welding and fabrication experience would be an advantage.
• Safety-focused approach and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Service, inspect, maintain and repair a range of trailers.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, braking and suspension faults.
• Repair and replace trailer components.
• Carry out welding and fabrication work where required.
• Complete safety inspections and identify defects.
• Ensure all repairs are completed to a high standard.
• Maintain accurate workshop and repair records.
• Follow all health and safety procedures.
