Job summary

Consult2Recruit is seeking an experienced Trailer Technician for a workshop-based role in the UK. You will carry out servicing, repairs and preventative maintenance on trailers, diagnosing faults, and preparing for MOT. The role offers independence, a stable full-time position and a company van.

Hours are 45–50 per week with competitive pay up to £20 per hour depending on experience. A full UK driving licence is preferred, and you will work closely with a supportive team in a busy workshop.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as Trailer Technician/Trailer Mechanic or similar.
  • Strong knowledge of trailer systems, servicing and repairs.
  • MOT preparation experience is essential.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Good fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship.
  • Full UK driving licence preferred.

Responsibilities

Overview

Trailer Technician - Workshop Based

Salary: Up to £20 per hour plus company van. Hours: 45-50 hours per week. Benefits: Company van provided.

Role

We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Trailer Technician to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled technician who is confident working independently and managing their own workload.

This is a workshop-based role offering stability, consistent hours, and the opportunity to work autonomously with responsibility for your own jobs.

Responsibilities
  • Carry out trailer servicing, repairs, and preventative maintenance
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and braking system faults
  • Complete MOT preparation work and carry out any required rectification repairs
  • Inspect trailers and identify faults, defects, and required repairs
  • Maintain and repair components including brakes, suspension, lighting systems, and running gear
  • Complete jobs independently from start to finish
  • Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and within required timescales
  • Maintain accurate records of work carried out
  • Follow all health and safety procedures within the workshop environment
