Job summary

Amour Recruitment are pleased to be recruiting for a pair of Traffic Operators to join our long standing client based in Southampton. In this role you'll plan and coordinate daily vehicle routes, monitor driver schedules and ensure smooth operation.

We seek candidates with transport/logistics experience, strong organisational and communication skills, and good IT proficiency with transport management systems and MS Office. Shifts are 8:30-18:00 or 14:00-22:00, Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a transport/logistics/traffic operator role preferred.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills and confidence liaising with drivers, customers, and stakeholders.
• Good IT skills, including experience using transport management systems and Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of driver hours, vehicle compliance, and transport regulations would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Monitor driver schedules and vehicle movements, responding quickly to delays or operational issues.
• Liaise with drivers, customers, and internal teams to provide updates and maintain service levels.

• Maintain accurate transport records, booking information, and operational documentation.

In this fantastic career opportunity, you'll join the team as a crucial component of the transport team, Responding to reactive haulage requests, supporting drivers, and ensuring a smooth operation.

This role requires heavy communication, as well as a precise attention to detail, as such you'll need to have great written and verbal communication, as well as being organised and precise.

We have two shifts available

• 8:30-18:00 Monday to Friday
• 14:00-22:00 Monday to Friday

Salary: £30,000 to £36,00 Depending on Experience
