Job summary

Stafforce Ports is seeking an experienced Transport Operator to join our busy transport team in the UK. You will coordinate container movements, plan driver schedules and manage real-time operational challenges to keep operations running smoothly.

The role requires strong organisational and communication skills, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and delivering excellent service to customers and colleagues alike.

Qualifications

• Previous experience within Transport Planning, Transport Operations or Logistics Coordination.
• Strong organisational and prioritisation skills.
• Ability to remain calm and make decisions under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate daily HGV driver schedules.
• Ensure container deliveries are completed safely, efficiently and on time.
• Manage real-time operational challenges and provide solutions when plans change.
• Act as a key point of contact for drivers, customers and internal stakeholders.
• Build strong relationships with customers and deliver exceptional service.
• Work closely with the wider transport team to maintain high service levels and targets.

What You'll Be Doing

• Planning and coordinating daily HGV driver schedules
• Ensuring container deliveries are completed safely, efficiently and on time
• Managing real-time operational challenges and providing solutions when plans change
• Acting as a key point of contact for drivers, customers and internal stakeholders
• Building strong relationships with customers and delivering exceptional service
• Working closely with the wider transport team to maintain high service levels and achieve operational targets

Shift Patterns Available

• Nights (Monday to Friday)

• 4:00pm - 2:00am
• 6:00pm - 4:00am
• 9:00pm - 7:00am

Additional payment available for Sunday working.

Days (Monday to Friday)

• 6:00am - 4:00pm
• 8:00am - 6:00pm
• 1 in 4 Saturdays required
• Occasional Sundays required for holiday and sickness cover
