Sheer Jobs Ltd in Swindon is seeking a Traffic Engineer to support the planning, coordination and delivery of traffic management, traffic engineering and road safety schemes within the local authority.

You will provide specialist technical advice on TSRGD, road safety and highway improvements, work with Members, councils and communities, and ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to required standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in local authority traffic planning and schemes.
• Knowledge of TSRGD, Traffic Management Act and related legislation.
• Experience preparing reports and business cases for committees.

Responsabilités

• Support development and implementation of traffic strategies and programmes.
• Oversee planning, coordination and monitoring of schemes.
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and safety standards.
• Analyze collision data to identify high-risk locations and mitigation.
• Provide technical advice to elected Members and stakeholders.
• Assist with budgeting, procurement and performance monitoring.
