Qualifications

• Exceptional command of algorithms, data structures and optimisation techniques.
• Ability to deconstruct ambiguous, computationally challenging problems and develop elegant, efficient and mathematically sound solutions.
• Deep expertise in C#/.NET or Java, including memory management, multithreading and performance optimisation.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, asynchronous processing, fault tolerance and scalability.
• Advanced SQL proficiency, including query optimisation and transactional integrity.
• Solid grounding in computer science fundamentals: OS, networking and software design principles.
• Experience in hedge funds or trading environments is highly desirable.
• Academic background in Computer Science, Mathematics or Engineering is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Design and engineer platforms supporting trading, portfolio management, investment analytics and risk.
• Develop high-performance, production-critical applications using C#/.NET and/or Java.
• Build scalable systems handling complex financial instruments, workflows and large data volumes.
• Take complete technical ownership of systems where reliability, correctness and performance are fundamental.
• Collaborate with investment professionals to translate complex requirements into robust engineering solutions.
• Challenge existing architectures and deliver technically superior alternatives.
