Job summary

Glasgow Prestwick Airport is seeking a Trade & Export Development Manager to grow Scotland's international trade connections from its Prestwick hub.

You will work with Scottish and UK exporters, airlines and freight forwarders to identify new export opportunities, connect products with international markets and develop sustainable outbound cargo opportunities that strengthen existing services and support future routes.

Qualifications

• Experience in international trade, logistics or aviation.
• Fluent Mandarin is desirable.

Job description

We are looking for a Trade & Export Development Manager to join Glasgow Prestwick Airport and play a key role in growing Scotland's international trade connections.

This is a proactive, commercially focused role, working with Scottish and UK businesses, airlines, freight forwarders and industry partners to identify new export opportunities and connect products with international markets.

A key focus will be developing sustainable outbound cargo opportunities, helping strengthen existing airline services, support future routes and grow Glasgow Prestwick Airport's position as an international cargo hub.

What You'll Do

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone with strong commercial and business development experience who can build relationships, spot opportunities and turn them into results.

• Strong commercial and business development experience.
• Excellent networking, influencing and relationship-building skills.
• Experience developing B2B relationships and delivering commercial outcomes.
• Confidence engaging with senior stakeholders and representing the Airport externally.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.

Experience in areas such as air cargo, aviation, logistics, international trade, import/export, manufacturing or international business development would be advantageous.

Fluent Mandarin Chinese is desirable, and additional language skills would be advantageous.

Additional Information

The role will require regular travel throughout the UK and internationally to support customer engagement, business development activities and industry events.
