JDP in Fareham is seeking an experienced Trade Counter Sales Person to join our branch. You’ll be at the heart of the branch, serving customers face-to-face, handling enquiries and driving sales growth. You’ll help keep the branch running smoothly and contribute to excellent customer service.

The role is hands-on, with training provided to advise customers effectively, develop new business, and deliver outstanding service from first contact to final sale.

Responsibilities

• Serving trade and retail customers at the counter, providing knowledgeable advice and excellent service.
• Building strong relationships with existing customers and developing new business opportunities.
• Handling customer enquiries by phone, email and in person.
• Processing quotes and orders accurately and efficiently.
• Identifying opportunities to upsell and promote products and branch initiatives.
• Supporting the day-to-day operation of the branch.
• Working closely with colleagues to ensure customers receive outstanding service every time they visit.
