JOB DESCRIPTION:

Our Marketing team in the UK is currently recruiting for a Trade Marketing Manager to join the team.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

You’ll be accountable for building strong omni-channel trade marketing strategies for Abbott Nutrition, coordinating and driving the translation of trade marketing strategy into actioned campaigns across mass market, pharmaceutical, and e-commerce channels. You will build relationships with key stakeholders internally and externally, understanding business needs, gaining shopper and customer insights to develop trade marketing strategies and plans, including brand strategies related to product placement, promotions, and distribution.

Key Accountabilities include:

  1. Tracking trade marketing performance by integrating various data sources to drive results, leveraging data, digital insights, and trade trends to prioritize accounts, territories, and drive maximum value throughout the region.
  2. Aligning channel activities across Sales and Marketing.
  3. Developing, implementing, and tracking brand trade strategies and plans related to promotion, distribution, and placement.
  4. Collaborating with brand and sales teams on product forecasting by channel and tracking performance to meet targets.
  5. Developing trade selling stories for new products or channel expansion and presenting to target customers.
  6. Utilizing digital strategies, technologies, tactics, and insights to develop integrated customer engagement plans that drive business impact.
  7. Managing trade budgets and tracking ROI of investments to recommend plans and adjustments.
  8. Creating target content and POP materials that leverage platform strengths (digital vs traditional) to attract shoppers.
  9. Analyzing channel performance and revenue holistically to maximize profitability.
  10. Evaluating market dynamics based on trends, formulating demand analysis frameworks, and establishing key priorities to identify opportunities and influence the market.
  11. Identifying opportunities and threats based on collected intelligence to target the right customers.
  12. Understanding factors impacting business outcomes, anticipating future needs, uncovering hidden opportunities, and making sound decisions to maximize profitability and ROI.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING

Required

  • Proven trade marketing experience in developing brand strategies and plans related to distribution, placement, and promotion for mass market retail channels.
  • Proficiency in analyzing customer and shopper insights.
  • Experience working collaboratively with cross-functional partners and non-technical users to support data quality, resolve issues, and communicate complex technical issues to non-technical stakeholders for decision-making.
  • Strong project management skills with a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Educational qualification at degree level and/or equivalent relevant commercial experience.
  • Proficiency in Excel or similar tools to analyze patterns and correlations supporting marketing efforts.

Preferred

  • Experience in the nutrition supplement industry or relevant marketing/business sector is preferred.
