Our Marketing team in the UK is currently recruiting for a Trade Marketing Manager to join the team.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

You’ll be accountable for building strong omni-channel trade marketing strategies for Abbott Nutrition, coordinating and driving the translation of trade marketing strategy into campaigns across mass market, pharmaceutical, and e-commerce channels. You will build relationships with internal and external stakeholders, understand business needs, gather shopper and customer insights, and develop trade marketing strategies and plans related to product placement, promotions, and distribution.

Key Accountabilities include:

  1. Tracking trade marketing performance by integrating various data sources to drive results and leveraging data, digital insights, and trade trends to prioritize accounts and territories, maximizing regional value.
  2. Aligning channel activities across Sales and Marketing.
  3. Developing, implementing, and tracking brand trade strategies related to promotion, distribution, and placement.
  4. Collaborating with brand and sales teams on product forecasting by channel and tracking performance to meet targets.
  5. Developing trade selling stories for new products or channel expansion and presenting to target customers.
  6. Using digital strategies, technologies, tactics, and insights to develop integrated customer engagement plans that drive business impact.
  7. Developing and tracking trade budgets with ROI analysis to inform plans and adjustments.
  8. Creating targeted content and POP materials leveraging digital and traditional platforms to attract shoppers.
  9. Analyzing channel performance and revenue to maximize profitability.
  10. Evaluating market dynamics and trends to identify opportunities and threats, formulate demand analysis frameworks, and prioritize actions based on ROI.
  11. Gathering market intelligence to identify opportunities and threats, and pursue targeted customer engagement.
  12. Understanding factors affecting business outcomes, anticipating future needs, uncovering opportunities, and making profitable decisions.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING
Required
  • Proven trade marketing experience in developing brand strategies related to distribution, placement, and promotion in mass market retail channels.
  • Proficiency in analyzing customer and shopper insights.
  • Experience working collaboratively across functions, supporting data quality, and resolving issues.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong project management skills with a track record of delivering on time and within budget.
  • Degree-level education or equivalent with relevant commercial experience.
  • Proficiency in Excel or similar tools for data analysis.
Preferred
  • Experience in the nutrition supplement industry or related marketing/business sectors.
