Franklin Fitch is seeking a Trackside IT Support Engineer for a prestigious client site in the Midlands. You will deliver 1st class IT support across trackside and TestOps, ensuring reliable infrastructure and rapid incident resolution.

This role combines motorsport excitement with technology, demanding flexible, out-of-hours support on a rota basis and a strong customer-service mindset to meet SLAs during race seasons.

Qualifications

• ITIL Foundation Certification is required.
• Degree or equivalent experience.
• Strong communication skills in English (written and spoken).
• Microsoft Certifications are desirable.
• Interest in motorsports.

Responsibilities

• Operational Support: Deliver 1st class IT operational support, particularly in Trackside &TestOps areas, ensuring uninterrupted service during race seasons.
• Collaboration: Work closely with a small, specialized team to support key stakeholders and maintain exceptional IT service.
• Race Day IT Support: Provide dedicated 24/7 remote support to trackside staff during high-pressure race days and testing.
• Service Excellence: Prioritize tasks effectively and manage customer expectations, delivering technical and operational solutions within strict SLAs and deadlines.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement enhancements to IT services and processes to improve reliability, performance, and security.

What You’ll Need

• Technical Expertise: Proficiency in Windows 10/11, Microsoft Office/365, Active Directory, Group Policy Management, and networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, WAN, LAN). Experience with storage systems and performance monitoring tools is beneficial.
• Customer Service Focus: A strong, customer-centric attitude with the ability to consistently deliver excellent service.
• ITIL Knowledge: ITIL Foundation certification is required, along with practical experience in service management.
• Team Player: Ability to build positive relationships within the team and with external partners, while providing additional support when needed.
• Flexibility: Willingness to provide out-of-hours support, including on-site trackside and race team assistance, on a rota basis.
