Job summary

RTS Infrastructure, based in Leeds and part of Arriva Group, seeks an experienced Contractor's Responsible Engineer (Construction) - Track (CRE-C) to lead Track construction assurance on major rail projects. You will provide technical leadership, ensure design compliance and manage construction interfaces across critical track infrastructure work packages.

The role reports to the Senior Construction Manager and requires experience delivering Permanent Way projects within a rail environment,

Qualifications

• Qualified in Civil Engineering (HNC/HND/degree) or equivalent.
• Experience delivering Track (Permanent Way) projects in rail infrastructure.
• CRE-C appointment or suitability under Project Engineering Management arrangements.

Responsibilities

• Act as the nominated Track CRE-C for allocated projects and work packages.
• Provide engineering assurance throughout the construction phase of Track works.
• Ensure access to approved drawings, specs and information before works commence.
• Provide technical guidance to site teams and subcontractors.
• Identify and manage engineering risks and interfaces.
• Review constructability, sequencing and technical solutions for buildability and compliance.
• Coordinate with Design CREs, CEMs and client reps to resolve issues.
• Manage technical queries and site engineering issues.
• Support design reviews and interdisciplinary coordination.
• Review Work Package Plans, ITPs and risk assessments.
