Job summary

The role requires MRTPI qualification (or progression towards) and solid UK planning knowledge, with ability to manage a varied workload and maintain strong client relationships.

Town Planning Consultant - Truro

A highly regarded, multi-disciplinary property consultancy with a strong presence across the South West is seeking an experienced Town Planning Consultant to join its established team in Truro. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded planner who can hit the ground running, working across a diverse portfolio of rural, residential and mixed-use development projects.

The Role

You will join a well-established planning and development team providing expert advice to landowners, developers and private clients. The role will involve managing projects from initial appraisal through to delivery, working closely with in-house professionals across design, agency and rural services.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Preparing and submitting planning applications and appeals
• Providing strategic planning advice and development appraisals
• Managing client relationships and acting as a trusted advisor
• Negotiating with local authorities and key stakeholders
• Supporting site promotion, local plan representations and development strategies
• Coordinating multidisciplinary project teams

The team has a proven track record of delivering successful outcomes across a wide range of developments, from residential schemes to rural and agricultural projects.

About You
