Job summary

Morson Edge in Bristol is seeking an ambitious RTPI-qualified Planner or Senior Planner to join its established Planning team. You will lead planning projects from early feasibility through consent, working with multidisciplinary colleagues and building long-term client relationships while developing technical and commercial expertise.

Morson Edge are currently supporting a leading national property and planning consultancy to recruit an RTPI-qualified Planner / Senior Planner to join their established Planning team in Bristol. The practice has a strong reputation for delivering strategic planning advice across regeneration, residential, mixed-use, commercial and infrastructure-led projects.

The Opportunity

We are seeking an ambitious Planner or Senior Planner who is looking to take the next step in their consultancy career. This role offers genuine project ownership, client exposure, and the opportunity to work alongside experienced senior leaders on complex and high-profile developments. You will be embedded within project teams and act as a key point of contact for clients, contributing directly to the delivery of planning strategies from early feasibility through to consent and delivery stages.

Role Overview

Essential Skills & Experience

• Degree in Town Planning or related discipline
• RTPI qualified (or close to chartership for Planner level)
• Experience within a consultancy or local authority planning environment
• Strong understanding of the UK planning system and policy framework
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage workload effectively
• Client-facing experience with good stakeholder engagement skills

Desirable

• Experience across residential, regeneration, mixed-use or infrastructure projects
• Exposure to planning committees or public consultation processes
• Experience supporting or leading planning applications in a consultancy setting
