Job summary

Bromsgrove District Council and Redditch Borough Council are seeking a proactive Project Delivery Officer to support initiatives that enhance town centres and local economies across Bromsgrove and Redditch. You’ll work with businesses, community groups and partners to deliver activities that make centres attractive, vibrant and economically active.

The role requires coordinating projects, monitoring progress, developing funding bids and producing reports for senior managers and funding bodies,

Qualifications

• Experience of supporting or delivering economic development, business support, employability or skills-related projects.
• Knowledge of business support, economic growth and skills programmes and how they contribute to local economic development.
• Understanding of business needs, economic trends and the challenges facing local employers and communities.
• Experience of working with a range of stakeholders across the public, private and voluntary sectors.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to produce reports and present information clearly.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret information and contribute to service improvement.
• Educated to HND/C, Level 4 equivalent or degree level in a business, project management or related discipline, or able to demonstrate equivalent relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of projects, programmes and initiatives that promote business growth, workforce development and economic prosperity across the two districts.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with local employers, education providers, training organisations and strategic partners.
• Assist in the development of funding bids, project proposals and business cases to attract investment into business and skills programmes.
• Monitor project performance, analyse data and evaluate outcomes to ensure programmes deliver measurable benefits for businesses and residents.
• Support events, workshops and promotional activity.
• Produce reports, briefings and performance information for senior managers, elected Members and funding bodies.
