Vanrath is seeking a Tourism Development Officer in Lisburn to support the Council’s tourism strategy through project and event management. You will work with external suppliers, coordinate events, and help develop marketing campaigns to promote the area.

The role requires a relevant degree and 2+ years’ experience, or 4+ years in related fields. Hybrid work is offered, with a mix of remote and in-office days, and a temporary contract.

• Degree in Tourism, Business, Marketing, Events Management or related discipline.
• Experience in managing projects, campaigns and stakeholder relationships.
• Experience in financial monitoring and data analysis.

Responsabilités

• Support Tourism Development Manager in delivering the Council's tourism strategy through project and event management.
• Manage contracts and external suppliers for initiatives.
• Develop engaging marketing campaigns with digital marketing colleagues.
• Coordinate high-profile events, festivals and exhibitions to attract visitors.
• Build and maintain relationships with tourism partners, businesses and community stakeholders.
• Prepare and monitor budgets, analyse performance data and produce reports.

Salary/Benefits

• £21.65 per hour

About you

• Relevant third-level qualification in Tourism, Business, Marketing, Events Management, or a related discipline, plus at least two years' relevant experience, or
• Four or more years' experience in tourism development, project management, events, marketing, or economic development
• Proven track record in managing projects, marketing campaigns, and stakeholder relationships
• Experience in financial monitoring, data analysis, and report preparation
