Position Overview

This position offers a great opportunity to work within the engineering function supporting the ramp-up at the Broughton plant.

Responsibilities

• Ensure successful industrialization of SA Jigs and Tools Requests and supporting Projects, from creation, development, and modification until final acceptance and handover to Operations.
• Integrate mature industrial technologies in line with R&D.
• Collaborate with R&D to integrate requirements and consolidate Airbus Industrial Vision.
• Design and specify Jigs and Tools assets according to requirements.
• Contribute to CDT MFT for production investigations utilizing tooling and metrology skills.

Tasks

• Qualification of Jigs and Tools assets.
• Interpret aircraft design models and relay information into operations and support.
• Define certification, re-certification, qualification, and re-qualification processes, features, and schedules.
• Conduct Jigs and Tools Technical Assessments.
• Prepare Jigs and Tools Technical Acceptance Reports.
• Develop Jigs and Tools assets Design and Manufacturing data sets.

Required Skills

• Ability to operate from first principles in manufacturing disciplines, making technical decisions daily.
• Knowledge of Manufacturing Engineering, Design, and Business Information Systems.
• Experience with aircraft production, engineering methods, and procedures.
• Understanding of interactions between Manufacturing Engineering and other functions.
• Leadership skills and self-motivation are desirable.
• Experience in a manufacturing and engineering environment.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
