Qualifications

• Experience operating conventional/manual machining equipment.
• Strong manual lathe experience.
• Experience with milling, drilling and traditional machining processes.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Good understanding of tolerances and precision measurement.
• Experience using micrometers, verniers and gauges.
• Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Operate manual lathes, milling machines, drills and grinders.
• Read and interpret detailed engineering drawings.
• Maintain tolerances and surface finishes as specified.
• Plan machining sequence and select tooling, speeds and feeds.
• Produce one-off and small-batch components.
• Inspect own work with micrometers, verniers, and gauges.
• Carry out basic machine maintenance and safety compliance.
