Job summary

Hunter Selection is recruiting a Toolmaker (Plastic Injection Mould) in Blaenau Gwent. The role offers a 4-day working week (Mon - Thurs) with a starting salary between £35,000 and £45,000, plus pension and more. The position requires manufacturing, assembling, and repairing injection mould tools, plus maintenance to extend tool life.

Training programmes are provided. Option to join a major global manufacturer with strong UK presence and clear career progression.

Qualifications

• Experience as Toolmaker
• Experience working on injection mould tooling

Responsibilities

• Manufacture, assemble, modify, and repair injection mould tools to defined drawings, specifications, and tolerances.
• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on mould tools to ensure reliability, consistency, and extended tool life.
• Diagnose tooling issues affecting quality, cycle time, or scrap and implement effective corrective actions.
• Support tool trials, set-ups, and validation activities in conjunction with Engineering and Production.
• Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for tooling-related non-conformities or customer complaints.
