Job summary

Hunter Selection is recruiting a Toolmaker (Plastic Injection Mould) based in Blaenau Gwent, United Kingdom. The role focuses on manufacturing, assembling, modifying and repairing injection mould tools to drawings and tolerances, and maintaining tool reliability to optimise cycle times.

You'll support tool trials, set-ups and validation with Engineering and Production, and participate in root-cause analysis for tooling-related issues. A 4-day week and pension are available.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Toolmaker.
• Experience working on injection mould tooling.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture, assemble, modify, and repair injection mould tools to defined drawings, specifications, and tolerances.
• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on mould tools to ensure reliability, consistency, and extended tool life.
• Diagnose tooling issues affecting quality, cycle time, or scrap and implement effective corrective actions.
• Support tool trials, set-ups, and validation activities in conjunction with Engineering and Production.
• Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for tooling‑related non‑conformities or customer complaints.
