Hunter Selection is recruiting a Toolmaker for plastic injection mould tooling in Blaenau Gwent. The role focuses on manufacturing, assembling, modifying and maintaining mould tools to drawings and tolerances, with emphasis on reliability and tool life.

The position offers a 4-day working week (Mon-Thu), a starting salary of £35,000-£45,000, pension, sick pay, and ongoing training to support career progression within a major global manufacturer.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Toolmaker.
• Experience working on injection mould tooling.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture, assemble, modify, and repair injection mould tools to defined drawings, specifications, and tolerances.
• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on mould tools to ensure reliability, consistency, and extended tool life.
• Diagnose tooling issues affecting quality, cycle time, or scrap and implement effective corrective actions.
• Support tool trials, set-ups, and validation activities in conjunction with Engineering and Production.
• Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for tooling-related non-conformities or customer complaints.
