Job summary

Hunter Selection is recruiting a skilled Tooling Engineer to join the engineering team in Telford. You will service, repair and maintain injection moulding tools, ensuring high uptime and supporting production through tool changes and trials.

The role requires experience in injection mould tooling, hydraulic/pneumatic systems and metalworking equipment. You will work with the Tooling Leader to reduce downtime and improve tooling processes in a busy workshop.

Qualifications

Experience in injection mould tooling within a manufacturing environment.
Maintenance and repair of tooling to maximise uptime and efficiency.
Ability to diagnose faults and perform corrective repairs on tooling equipment.

Responsibilities

Service, maintain and repair injection moulding tools to support production requirements.
Respond to tool breakdowns, diagnose faults, and carry out corrective repairs.
Perform planned preventative maintenance activities on tooling equipment.
Conduct routine safety checks on power tools and workshop equipment.
Work closely with the Tooling Leader to minimise production downtime.
Monitor tooling spare parts usage and report low stock levels.
Support production during new tool and product trials.
Maintain housekeeping standards in workshop and around machinery.
Identify opportunities to improve tooling systems and processes.
Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and Environmental standards.
