Job Title: Multi Skilled Toolmaker

Job Type: Days based, Perm

Location: Willenhall

Salary: £30,000 - £35,000

Schedule: 37.5hrs a week / 7.30am-3.30pm Monday-Thursday / 7.30am-1pm on Friday

Company Overview

An innovative organisation in a specialist defence-related industry is seeking a multi-skilled Machinist/Fitter/Toolmaker to join their team.

Candidate Requirements

• Experienced and time-served in a fitter/toolmaker role with manual machining skills.
• Extensive knowledge of manual lathes and mills, comfortable machining to exacting standards.
• Qualifications: C&G, EITB or SVQ/NVQ level 3.
• Ability to support development demands quickly and efficiently to meet customer tight timescales.

Main Responsibilities

• Develop, manufacture, test, and support company projects.

Key Skills

• Extensive experience with manual lathes and mills.
• Experience working to exact standards on complex, tight tolerance parts.
• Broad understanding of mechanical processes.
• Ability to work as part of a small team.

Desirable Skills

• Knowledge of electro-pneumatic equipment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Experience

• Preferably 5+ years in an engineering manufacturing environment.

Education/Qualifications

• SVQ/NVQ level 3 or C&G Mechanical Craft Studies (Parts I, II & III with a minimum pass level of “Credit”).
• EITB First Year ‘Off the Job’ Certification.
• EITB Module Training Certification.
• Toolmaking & Fitting and Indentured Apprenticeship.
• Must be a UK national and pass security vetting upon employment.
