Job summary

Jet2.com Hangar at Manchester Airport is seeking a meticulous Tooling Storekeeper to ensure aircraft tooling is controlled, stored, packed and located correctly, while adhering to published engineering procedures and maintaining the highest safety standards.

You will carry out routine inspections, coordinate with internal teams and suppliers, manage Tooling Change Bulletins, keep accurate transaction records and support a fast paced, precision‑driven operation on a 4 on 4 off shift.

Qualifications

• Experience with tooling equipment and stores processes.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Knowledge of aviation tooling and maintenance workflows.
• Proactive and pragmatic approach in a fast-paced environment.
• Full UK driving license required.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine inspections of aircraft tooling, conduct minor maintenance, and dispatch defective tooling for repair or calibration.
• Maintain accurate records of all tooling transactions.
• Liaise with internal departments and external suppliers.
• Ensure Tooling Change Bulletins and Tooling Equipment bulletins are actioned appropriately.
• Uphold the Tooling department's 'Right Tool, Right Place, Right Time' mandate.

What will you do in the role?

The Tooling Storekeeper Will Take Responsibility Ensuring That All Aircraft Tooling Is Controlled, Stored, Packed, Handled And Located Correctly, Whilst Adhering To Published Engineering Procedures And Operating To a High Standard In Relation To Aircraft Safety. The Tooling Storekeeper Will Also

• Carry out routine inspections of aircraft tooling, conducting minor maintenance and ensure any potential defective tooling is efficiently and cost effectively dispatched for repair or calibration
• You will take a proactive approach to ensure service levels are kept to a high standard
• Maintain records of all transactions in a diligent and accurate manner
• Liaise with internal and external departments/suppliers
• Ensure relevant Tooling Change Bulletins and Tooling Equipment bulletins are actioned appropriately
• Uphold the Tooling departments Mission Statement of ‘Right Tool, Right Place, Right time’

What do we need from you?

The Successful Candidate Will

• Have excellent organisation and Communication skills, ensuring a clean and tidy work environment is always maintained
• You will have experience of working with Tooling equipment and ideally have a good understanding of the aviation sector
• Knowledge of tooling/stores processes
• Apply your technical mindset to this technical role
• You will have a proactive and pragmatic approach, as well as the ability to prioritise work in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
• Continuous Improvement Mindset
• Be flexible and willing to support the needs of the operation
• Have excellent attention to detail
• The successful candidate would require a full UK driving license

After a period of training, it is expected that the Tooling Storekeeper will work on 2 days, 2 nights, 4 days off shift pattern.
