Job summary

Jet2.com is seeking an Aircraft Mechanic based in Leeds, Hangar, to perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on commercial aircraft. The role focuses on keeping our fleet airworthy and safe, including troubleshooting and repairs, with emphasis on quality and safety standards.

Ideal candidates will have a solid background in aircraft maintenance on commercial aircraft, with airline or MRO experience and familiarity with AMOS.

Qualifications

• Solid background in aircraft maintenance, especially on commercial aircraft.
• Experience as an aircraft mechanic in an airline or MRO environment.
• Familiarity with the AMOS recording system is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Carry out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance per data and procedures.
• Perform structural repairs as required under SRM or OEM schemes.
• Update maintenance records with details of tasks performed.
• Ensure tasks meet quality and safety standards.
• Collaborate with peers and supervisors as part of the Work as One Team ethos.
• Report operational or safety issues to line managers.

We have a fantastic opportunity for a talented and experienced Aircraft Mechanic with a proven background including structural repairs to join our dynamic team at Jet2.com, based at our state-of-the-art Hangar in Leeds. In this hands-on role, you'll be essential to keeping our fleet airworthy and safe, performing both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring our aircraft are ready for take-off.

What will you do in the role?

• Carry out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks in accordance with approved data, company procedures and Health and Safety guidelines
• Perform structural repairs in line with SRM or OEM approved repair schemes when required
• Update the maintenance recording system with details of all tasks performed
• Ensure all tasks are completed to the highest standards of quality and workmanship
• Employ the company Work as One Team ethos by collaborating effectively with peers and supervisors
• Report any operational or safety related issues to line managers.

What do we need from you?

• A solid background in aircraft maintenance, particularly on commercial aircraft.
• Ideally, experience as an aircraft mechanic in an airline or MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul) environment, including assistance with sheet metal repairs.
• Familiarity with our aircraft types and the AMOS recording system would be a bonus.
• A keen eye for detail and a strong commitment to safety and quality.
• A strong airline operational needs paired with a positive approach towards targets
• A full working knowledge of Health & Safety requirements, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven setting.
