Job summary

Reed in Rotherham is seeking an experienced Manual Miller & Tooling Repair Technician to join a busy manufacturing operation. The role covers maintaining, repairing and preparing tooling and mould equipment to support production, in a busy toolroom.

You will read engineering drawings, operate XYZ mills, and ensure components meet exact specifications while maintaining high standards of quality and safety. The position is permanent, with a Monday–Friday days pattern and a competitive salary.

Qualifications

• Experience in a toolroom environment.
• Ability to read engineering drawings.
• Health and safety conscious with strong quality focus.

Responsibilities

• Operate manual milling machinery, including XYZ mills.
• Interpret and work from engineering drawings.
• Measure and inspect finished components against specs.
• Repair, modify and maintain mould and tooling equipment.
• Identify defects and report issues with tooling and equipment.
• Meet production tooling needs by timely repairs.
