Job summary

Reed Specialist Recruitment Ltd is seeking a skilled Manual Miller & Tooling Repair Technician in Rotherham on a permanent, full-time basis. The role focuses on maintaining, repairing and preparing tooling and mould equipment to support production operations.

You will operate manual milling machinery, read engineering drawings, and ensure components meet specifications with attention to quality, safety, and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a toolroom environment.
• Experience operating manual milling machines.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Strong commitment to health and safety.

Responsibilities

• Operate manual milling machinery, including XYZ mills.
• Interpret and work from engineering drawings.
• Repair, modify and maintain mould and tooling equipment.
• Inspect finished components against specifications.
• Identify defects and manage tooling in storage areas.
• Support production with timely tooling repairs.
