Reed Specialist Recruitment is seeking a Miller Setter Operator for a West Midlands workshop. You will set and operate milling machinery to produce components to precise drawings and tolerances, ensuring quality and efficiency in a busy production environment.

The role requires reading engineering drawings, strong machining knowledge, and keen attention to detail. Monday to Friday, dayshift, with competitive salary and progression potential.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Miller Setter Operator.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Strong understanding of machining processes and tooling.
• Experience in a precision engineering environment.
• Good attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Responsibilities

• Setting and operating CNC milling machines.
• Producing components to engineering drawings and tolerances.
• Conducting first-off and in-process quality inspections.
• Making tool and offset adjustments where required.
• Ensuring machines are running efficiently and safely.
• Maintaining a clean and organised working environment.
• Working closely with the production and quality teams to meet delivery targets.
