Ernest Gordon Recruitment is seeking a Tooling Design Engineer with Catia V5 experience to design assembly tools, jigs and fixtures from concept through to client delivery. The role is based near Chester with a hybrid working pattern and a strong focus on project delivery within aerospace tooling projects.

You will liaise with suppliers and project teams, manage design milestones, and maintain quality standards while working Monday to Friday with flexible hours. Commutable to Chester, UK.

Are you a Design Engineer with a background using Catia V5 to create Assembly Tools? Are you looking for a career advancement with a focus on project work for a leading aerospace contractor who offer to progress technically, work on a variety of high-value projects and work on hybrid basis with travel opportunities?

On offer is the opportunity to work with a leading company who provide solutions for commercial aerospace, defence and military projects. Their main client is one of the leading defence companies in the world and offer a range of lucrative projects to be involved with. They produce full suite mould and tooling processes for the manufacturing market across the UK, Europe and USA.

This varied role will have you designing assembly tools, jigs and fixtures using Catia V5 from conception to client delivery. This role will see you develop your skills to oversee all aspects of project delivery, from initiation to closure, while maintaining alignment with company objectives and standards. This is a Monday to Friday position, with hybrid working options.

This role would suit a Design Engineer with a background creating Assembly Tools, Jigs or Fixtures using Catia V5, looking for a step-up in responsibility, develop your project management skills and work on a hybrid basis.
