Job summary

Randstad UK is seeking a Tool Maker to join a premier mechanical engineering firm specializing in high-precision press tooling, CNC machining, and fabrication. The role covers the full lifecycle from offline programming to hands-on manufacture of bespoke tooling.

Estimated duration is around 6–8 months, with a focus on CNC milling and turning work. Working hours are standard Monday-Thursday 07:30–16:30, Friday 12:30 finish, in the Llanelli area.

Qualifications

• Experience with CNC milling and turning on precision tooling.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Experience with offline programming for tooling and fixtures.

Responsibilities

• Manage full lifecycle of precision tooling and components.
• Program offline using Fusion 360, Inventor and VISI; set up and run machining operations.
• Fabricate bespoke jigs and fixtures as required.

Job description

Due to a contract win we are looking for a Tool Maker to bolster the ream and join a premier mechanical engineering firm who specialise in high-precision press tooling, CNC machining, and fabrication.

This position will be around 6 - 8 months worth of work.

We are ideally looking for someone with CNC experience - mainly Milling and Turning work

You will be responsible for the full life-cycle of precision components and tooling-from offline programming in Fusion, Inventor, and VISI, to the hands-on manufacture of bespoke jigs and fixtures.

Working Hours: Mon-Thurs (07:30-16:30) and an early finish on Fridays (12:30).
