Job summary

T & G Engineering in West Byfleet, Surrey, is seeking a skilled Toolmaker to join our precision machining team. You will perform manual milling, turning, cylindrical, rotary and surface grinding, reading complex GD&T drawings and ensuring tight tolerances on high-precision components.

We offer a permanent, full-time position with 39 hours per week, a competitive hourly rate dependent on experience, overtime paid at time and a half, a pension, private health care and 23 days of holiday plus

T & G Engineering was founded in 1975 and has become one of Europe’s foremost high precision subcontract machining companies serving and supporting worldwide customers in Can Tooling and special purpose machinery sectors, Aerospace, Automotive, Pharmaceutical and Medical.

Our modern air-conditioned subcontract CNC machining facility is based in West Byfleet Surrey. Job Summary:

We are currently looking for a skilled Toolmaker to join our team. Your attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment will be essential in this role.

Responsibilities:

• Includes all aspects of Toolmaking: Manual Milling, Turning, Cylindrical, Rotary and Surface Grinding.
• Use of measuring equipment to check components.
• Working on highly complex components with a strict GD&T adherence and being compliance to technical documentation.
• Maintaining quality and safety standards and ensuring tooling is stored in their correct locations.

Requirements:

• An experienced Toolmaker with previous experience on manual machines.
• The ability to read complex technical drawings with GD&T's.
• Good Organisational skills.
• A passion for engineering and the appreciation and commitment to achieve our client’s requirements is essential.
