Job summary

Elix Sourcing Solutions is seeking a skilled Toolmaker or CNC Machinist to join its established Birmingham engineering team. The role focuses on manufacturing, repairing and modifying precision tooling, jigs, fixtures and components, with a varied engineering workload and competitive benefits.

The successful candidate will set up, program and operate CNC milling and turning machines from engineering drawings, work to tight tolerances and use conventional tool-room equipment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Toolmaker, CNC Machinist or Precision Engineer.
• Experience with CNC setup, programming and operation.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and work to precise tolerances.
• CAD/CAM, Fanuc controls or press tooling experience advantageous.

Responsibilities

Are you an experienced Toolmaker or CNC Machinist looking to join an established manufacturing company offering competitive benefits and varied engineering work?

The company is looking to expand its Engineering and Tool Room team, seeking a skilled individual to manufacture, repair and modify precision tooling, jigs, fixtures and components. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within a specialist manufacturing environment.

The Role

• Manufacturing, repairing and modifying precision tooling and components.

• Setting up, programming and operating CNC milling and turning machines.

• Working from engineering drawings and to tight tolerances.

• Using conventional tool room machinery, including mills, lathes and surface grinders.

• Supporting production breakdowns and tooling improvements.

The Candidate
