Job summary

Elix Sourcing Solutions in Birmingham is seeking an experienced Toolmaker or CNC Machinist to join its engineering team. You will manufacture, repair and modify precision tooling, jigs and fixtures, and work to tight tolerances from engineering drawings.

The role involves setting up, programming and operating CNC milling and turning machines, using conventional tool room equipment, and supporting production with tooling improvements.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Toolmaker, CNC Machinist or Precision Engineer.
• Experience with CNC setup, programming and operation.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and work to precise tolerances.

£35,000-£38,000 + Benefits

Are you an experienced Toolmaker or CNC Machinist looking to join an established manufacturing company offering competitive benefits and varied engineering work?

The company is looking to expand its Engineering and Tool Room team, seeking a skilled individual to manufacture, repair and modify precision tooling, jigs, fixtures and components. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within a specialist manufacturing environment.

The Role

• Manufacturing, repairing and modifying precision tooling and components.

• Setting up, programming and operating CNC milling and turning machines.

• Working from engineering drawings and to tight tolerances.

• Using conventional tool room machinery, including mills, lathes and surface grinders.

• Supporting production breakdowns and tooling improvements.

The Candidate

• Proven experience as a Toolmaker, CNC Machinist or Precision Engineer.

• Experience with CNC setup, programming and operation.

• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and work to precise tolerances.

• CAD/CAM, Fanuc controls or press tooling experience advantageous.
