Job summary

Jewson in Driffield, part of Stark UK, is hiring a Tool Hire Manager. You will oversee the day-to-day Tool Hire function, drive sales, and ensure excellent customer service while maintaining health and safety standards.

This full-time role runs Monday to Friday 7:30am–5:00pm, with every other Saturday 8:00am–12:00pm. You’ll coach staff, manage stock, and work with the Branch Manager to maximize profitability.

We are recruiting for a Tool Hire Manager to join our thriving Jewson branch in Driffield, YO25 9DJ. This is a full-time role working Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 5:00pm, and every other Saturday from 8:00am to 12:00pm.

As a Tool Hire Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day running of the Tool Hire function, driving sales, delivering excellent customer service, maximising profitability and ensuring the highest standards of health and safety.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Overseeing the day-to-day running of the Tool Hire function, ensuring efficient operations and high standards.
• Building strong customer relationships and growing sales through cross-selling and upselling.
• Ensuring equipment is available to meet customer needs and maintaining appropriate stock levels.
• Coaching colleagues, providing feedback and supporting their development.
• Resolving customer queries and complaints professionally.
• Ensuring equipment is handled safely and all health and safety procedures are followed.
• Working closely with the Branch Manager and wider team to maximise profitability and deliver an excellent customer experience.
