Job summary

Jewson, part of Stark UK, is seeking a Tool Hire Controller in Sittingbourne to deliver excellent customer service and keep hire operations running smoothly.

You’ll manage day-to-day tool and equipment hire, handle inquiries by phone, email and in person, process bookings and invoices, and coordinate deliveries with drivers.

Applicants must have previous experience in the tool hire industry and be available to work Monday to Friday, with alternating Saturday shifts.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Tool Hire Controller to join our team in Sittingbourne and play a key role in delivering excellent customer service while keeping our hire operations running smoothly and efficiently. Applicants must have previous experience in the tool hire industry. This is a full-time role working Monday-Friday 07:00-16:30 or 7:30-17:00, with the requirement of working every other Saturday from 08:00-12:00.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Manage day-to-day tool and equipment hire operations.
• Deal with customer enquiries by phone, email and in person.
• Process hire bookings, contracts and customer orders accurately.
• Developing new business and managing existing customer relationships.
• Arrange and coordinate deliveries and collections with drivers.
• Maintaining servicing schedules and ensuring legal compliance.
• Processing invoices and administration accurately and promptly.
