Location: Raised in Bristol at Felix Road Adventure Playground (BS5)
Salary: £30,378 per annum
Full Time (40hrs with 1 hour paid lunch break)

At Raised In, we believe in the power of education to shape the future, and we’re looking a passionate Room Leader to join our Toddler Room team and make an impact. Whether you’re seeking career growth, a fulfilling role, or simply a supportive work environment, Raised In offers it all – and more!

Raised in Bristol at Felix Road Adventure Playground offers a more relaxed feel than larger settings, with just 62 places. It’s housed in a beautiful timber-framed building overlooking the much-loved Adventure Playground. The nursery has a warm, homely atmosphere, and all rooms enjoy free‑flow access to the garden space, perfect for outdoor play and exploration.

We’re just a 5-minute walk from Stapleton Road and Lawrence Hill Roundabout, with regular bus links across Bristol, and only 10 minutes from Stapleton Road train station. The nursery is easily accessible by bike, and there’s free on‑street parking nearby.

Our approach centres on child‑led learning through play, with a thoughtfully designed curriculum that nurtures curiosity and supports each child’s unique interests. From the baby room through to preschool, we focus on every stage of development—helping children grow in confidence and preparing them for their exciting next steps towards school.

We’re a passionate bunch at Raised In! We love what we do, and we’re committed to helping the youngest children reach their full potential in friendly, nurturing, and engaging home‑from‑home environments. We’re building something special and we’d love you to be part of it.

What about you?

You're the kind of person who...

Lights up around children and believes in the power of play to spark learning, curiosity and development.

Leads by example, bringing energy, positivity and a can‑do attitude that inspires those around you.

Enjoys supporting, coaching and motivating others, helping your team grow in confidence and deliver outstanding experiences for children.

Cares deeply about inclusion, safeguarding and ensuring every child and family feels welcomed, valued and supported.

Builds strong relationships with parents, colleagues and the wider community, recognising the important role partnerships play in children's success.

Is reflective, open to feedback and committed to continually developing your own practice and leadership skills.

Has high standards, takes ownership and is passionate about creating nurturing, inspiring environments where children can thrive.

Wants to make a meaningful difference and be part of a team that's rethinking how Early Years education is done.

If you’re a qualified Early Years Practitioner, Educator, or Teacher looking for an exciting new role that makes a real difference, Raised In could be your perfect next step!

Raised In is dedicated to building a diverse and inclusive team that reflects the communities we serve. We welcome people from all backgrounds, identities and experiences, and we’re especially keen to hear from those underrepresented in early years and social enterprise. If you share our values and want to help shape inclusive spaces where children can thrive, we’d love to hear from you.

You’ll have (in line with Raised in Behaviours)

The ability to contribute to creating a welcoming, inclusive, collaborative and supportive environment

Children’s needs at the forefront of everything that you do

A positive mindset, approaching tasks with a can‑do‑attitude

A strong work ethic, setting a good example for others and supporting your team

The want to make a difference, working in partnership positively with your team

The want to be part of trying or suggesting new initiatives and ways of doing things

High standards for yourself, team and the nursery

A reflective mindset, open to feedback and ongoing self‑improvement
