Job summary

Lockton, the world's largest independent insurance broker, seeks a commercial real estate lawyer to join its Transactional Risk team as a Title Broker (Associate). You will advise on title insurance for complex real estate deals and help manage placements from instruction to policy.

Requirements include 5–10 years’ PQE in Commercial Real Estate, strong due diligence, and a client‑facing mindset. You will build relationships with insurers, law firms and clients while staying current with market

Qualifications

• Qualified lawyer with 5–10 years' PQE in commercial real estate.
• Strong knowledge of property transactions, title issues, due diligence.
• Interest in transitioning to a client-facing advisory role.
• Analytical with ability to identify risks and practical solutions.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building with clients and insurers.
• Commercially curious and proactive in transactional risk.
• Able to work independently and in teams in a deal-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on title insurance for commercial real estate.
• Review title reports, due diligence and docs to identify risks.
• Structure and market title submissions to insurers.
• Manage transactions from instruction to policy placement.
• Collaborate with real estate lawyers, investors, lenders and advisers.
• Negotiate policy wordings and coverage.
• Build relationships with insurers, law firms and clients.
• Keep up to date with developments in markets.
• Collaborate with Transactional Risk team to deliver advice.
