Job summary

Lockton is seeking a Title Broker (Associate) within the Transactional Risk team to advise clients on title insurance solutions for complex real estate transactions, working with experienced brokers to assess risks and structure insurance placements.

You will manage transactions from instruction through policy placement, collaborating with law firms, investors and insurers, while developing market-leading advice and client service.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years' PQE in Commercial Real Estate or Real Estate Finance at a leading private practice.
• Strong understanding of commercial property transactions, due diligence and transaction documents.
• Interest in transitioning to a client-facing advisory role while handling complex real estate deals.
• Analytical mindset with ability to identify risks and craft practical commercial solutions.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with clients, insurers and advisers.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on title insurance solutions for complex real estate transactions.
• Review title reports, due diligence findings and transaction documents to identify insurable risks.
• Structure and market title insurance submissions to insurers, negotiating coverage and terms.
• Manage transactions from instruction to policy placement as the main client contact.
• Collaborate with real estate lawyers, investors, lenders and advisers to deliver risk transfer solutions.
• Negotiate policy wordings to meet transactional objectives.
• Build relationships with insurers, law firms and clients while supporting business development.
• Stay updated on developments in real estate and transactional risk insurance markets.
